GCMAGIC

about us

Positioned as a leading Community Arts Organisation, GCMAGIC (Gold Coast Multicultural Group In Collaboration) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports creative talents from diverse cultural backgrounds since its establishment in 2000.

For more than two decades now, GCMAGIC has contributed to the multicultural map of the City of Gold Coast through a variety of art events of varied disciplines, via vibrant projects and programs.

We strive to enhance interactions that create positive social change and support wellbeing, connection, harmony, sustainability and inclusion through the Visual, Performing and Literary Arts.
GCMAGIC is passionate about showcasing the innovative works of both established and emerging CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) artists, in particular women who are less visible due to varied social barriers.

With a dynamic governance structure, we continuously expand our organisational capacity, and via sustainable and diversified projects we strive to stay relevant to the Gold Coasts ever growing, multicultural, contemporary and vibrant society.

We pride ourselves in initiating new visions and creating innovative and inclusive projects that are always based on the needs of both the artists and our community.

our people

GCMAGIC is a registered independent not-for-profit organisation.
The organisation is led by Executive Director Nasrin Vaziri, with the support of an eight-member management committee, consisting of individuals who contribute time, experience and creativity to the governance of the organisation.
The management committee is governed by three executive members — Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, two committee members, and committee support.
We also engage various service-providers that supply the technical and communication support needed to administer and manage the projects and programs. We have always worked with many volunteers from the community who have dedicated their skills and time to ensure the smooth delivery of creative projects and programs.
